The National Family Association for Deaf-Blind (NFADB) is the largest national nonprofit organization serving families of individuals who are deaf-blind. They believe that individuals who are deaf-blind are valued members of society and are entitled to the same opportunities and choices as other members of their community. They exist to empower families of individuals who are deaf-blind and to advocate for their unique needs. www.nfadb.org
The Pennsylvania Deaf-Blind Project has provided PPDB the critical support, assistance and training to develop from an idea to reality. From allowing us to meet as part of its Leadership Training, to hosting our annual membership meetings at the Project’s Family Learning Conferences, to assisting us in hammering out our mission and goals (which took several long meetings), the Project has been by our side every step of the journey. www.pattan.net/publications/the-pennsylvania-deaf-blind-project

The Disability Advocacy Support Hub (DASH) is a project of the Disability Rights Network of Pennsylvania. Funded by the Pennsylvania Developmental Disabilities Council, DASH selected PPDB as its first “Emergent Group” in 2007. DASH provided all types of technical and financial assistance throughout our first two years, including facilitating the face-to-face Board meetings, helping us to establish our priorities, funding PPDB’s 501(c)(3) application, advising the Board on a number of issues, funding the development of our website, and conducting training sessions on advocacy.
